LEGACY MARTIAL ARTS

                                                                                         A Philosophical Approach to Combat!

Legacy Martial Arts

It is the direct prerogative of Legacy Martial Arts to isolate individual arts such as Muay Thai, Filipino Martial Arts, Jun Fan Gung Fu, Boxe Française Savate, Western Boxing etc., from one another, so as not lose the true meaning of martial ‘ART’.

Legacy’s belief is that mixed martial arts should be just that – mixed martial ARTS!  If one wishes to cultivate Muay Thai to the level of ART then Muay Thai must be isolated on all levels, from history to culture, and so on.  Thus, the same applies to the Filipino Martial Arts, Jun Fan Gung fu, Boxe Française Savate, Western Boxing and any other art one wishes to pursue (i.e. Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Sambo, Greco Roman Wrestling, etc.)

Fighting in and out of ranges does not necessarily signify the mixing of martial arts.  The use of knees, elbows, round kicks, takedowns, joint submissions, etc. does not mean one is performing Muay Thai or Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.  Instead, one is simply striking and submitting.

Just as a house needs a solid foundation, so does a martial artist need a base from which to measure and relate to all other arts.  Legacy Martial Arts is not a mixed martial arts school!  Rather, it is a martial arts school placing emphasis on the arts individually, then cross training them; so when necessary, they can flow from one to the next at the level of artistry.

Students

Our target audience are those whose goals are casual or competitive.  Egos and attitudes are checked at the door and those are welcome to challenge their selves in a non-stress atmosphere.  If you are looking for a place to get strong and fit, learn how to fight or defend yourself, mature physically and mentally, or feel young again just the same, then WELCOME!

Fighters

For those who wish to compete, Legacy Martial Arts is dedicated to leading individuals to victory, in the ring, whether it is amateur or professional; whether you are a novice or an experienced fighter.  At Legacy Martial Arts, fighters and coaches are one.  Just as a General needs an army, an army needs a General.  So too is the relationship between fighters and coaches.

All who enter the ring are winners by default!  We just have to get the trophy from the other guy!
